EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY

Wellbeing Practitioner

22.5 hours per week (Fixed term up to 2 years)

Salary: £20,551  (Pro rata for part time hours)

         Aurora Wellbeing Centre, The Old Library, Worksop

 

 Are you an empathic, caring and experienced professional who is keen to make a difference and help support the wellbeing of individuals from the local Bassetlaw community?

 

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become part of the Macmillan and Aurora Wellbeing team and work on the innovative “Living With and Beyond Cancer” programme.

 

Your listening skills and compassionate nature will be utilised when meeting and greeting clients and undertaking one-to-one electronic Health Needs Assessments (eHNA’s), to establish their needs. You will support client’s mental and physical wellbeing through signposting to appropriate services and undertaking individual and group activities.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To work with the Aurora and Macmillan Team as the first point of contact and client interface. To ensure effective process of eHNA’s and care planning are undertaken to identify and meet client needs.
  • To work with the Macmillan team to effectively maintain and develop a range of quality services, and a self-management training programme which meet and support client needs and deliver the “Living With and Beyond Cancer” programme.
  • To promote and raise awareness of Aurora’s services using social media platforms
  • To work under the instruction of the General Manager and alongside the Care Navigator to effectively deliver all work in a timely manner, and produce work which meets and/or exceeds their quality requirements.
