WELLBEING & COUNSELLING

We offer support to help people struggling to cope with unmet emotional needs, particularly at the end of their cancer treatment. We provide strategies to deal with emotions, anxieties and concerns. 

 

ONE-TO-ONE COUNSELLING SERVICE

Available weekdays 9:30am - 4:00pm

Support is available for anyone experiencing difficulties, including people affected by a cancer diagnosis, bereavement or anxiety. Our in-house counselling service is with Insight Healthcare, delivered in a confidential and safe environment.

SELF-MANAGEMENT & LIFESTYLE COACHING

February, May and November 2018

Designed to support anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis or managing challenging situations. This five-week programme focuses on:

  • Managing emotional and physical stress
  • Self-hypnosis techniques to aid pain management and sleep
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to improve wellbeing

STEP FORWARD ONE-TO-ONE COACHING

A mindfulness workshop to support and motivate the mind and build confidence. Enjoy exercise to balance emotions, reduce stress and build trust and social skills.

MINDFULNESS COMPASSION COURSE

Starts October 2018 (Weds 1-3 pm)

Gain an insight into mindfulness and build on your wellbeing and resilience. A seven week course to help focus on yourself and develop skills to:

  • Stand back from distressing thoughts and feelings
  • Recognise early warning signs and take helpful action when you spot them
  • Be more kind and gentle to yourself

SLEEP WELL COURSE

Running March, June and November 2018

Good sleep gives the body and mind time to rest and restore. It supports our general health and boosts feelings of confidence and well-being. Learn practical tools to help improve your sleep:

Identify what might be interfering with your ‘good night’s sleep’

Simple movements / stretches to prepare your body for restful sleep

Easy breathing and relaxation techniques to help calm a busy mind
