Our NEW Heritage Volunteer Roles
Find out more about what is involved.
Volunteer Curators
The virtual museum is an online platform and will reunite some of the collections from the former Worksop Museum in virtual form.
Be an integral part of creating the content for the virtual museum.
In this role you will select a core set of objects, photograph them and tell their stories.
Wellbeing and Heritage Volunteers
Help support and deliver the core programme of heritage wellbeing activities, aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of people living with and beyond cancer.
In this role you will encourage creative practice which connects to the heritage of Worksop and people’s lives.
Oral History Volunteers
Through the creation of an oral history archive, the project will provide the local community with new ways of reconnecting with heritage and allow people to engage with locally important stories.
In this role you will help create an oral history archive by identifying people with stories to tell, record them, edit and transcribe some of those stories.
Heritage Hub Volunteers
In this role you will welcome visitors to the newly created Heritage Hub during special events and to support the development and delivery of public activities.
The Heritage Hub will provide local access to information about the history of the building and the local area, for the first time since the Worksop Museum closed.
